I was invited by the race organisers, Zeus Events, to create a logo and brand for the inaugural Women’s Tour of Scotland. The branding was designed to reflect the natural beauty of the location, the pride and dignity of the people and the pioneering spirit of the first women’s tour.
The logo combines the chainring with the thistle. The colour palette reflects the natural scenery with a nod to the palettes of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The imagery juxtaposes the racers in action with the breathtaking local scenery. The graphics reflect the cross of St Andrew and give the branding motion and dynamism.
I applied the branding right across the board, designing everything for the event from stationery, brochures, invitations, web and social media graphics, posters, advertising and signage, right through to promotional clothing and even the winner’s jersey.
“Thank you for all of your great efforts and fine work with the Women’s Tour of Scotland. You have been a dream to work with… a nice calm dream. You are very much appreciated.”
